Bolton Wanderers Development Association Continue to Support BWitC

Bolton Wanderers Development Association were delighted to hand over a cheque for £1011.87 to Ben Lawton, Deputy Chief Executive Officer at Bolton Wanderers in the Community. This is the second cheque we have handed over since we started the agency in 2024, the first was £1500, so £2511.87 so far.

The BWDA Goldline are proud to support the BWITC, with twenty pence from ever £1 paid by new Goldline members going direct to this fantastic charity who run various projects throughout our community, their projects include –

The Extra Time Hub which offers the opportunity for over fifties to socialise, form new friendships and do the things they enjoy. It includes weekly gatherings at venues across Bolton. Activities vary from quizzes, arts and crafts and music to table tennis, yoga or just a chat and cup of tea and one of the participants Linda was lucky enough to win £1000 on the Goldline too! Here she is with her cheque.

Sutton Family Hub this project provides positive activities and provision for families, offering a warm and welcoming community environment at Sutton Community Centre. The Hub provides families with refreshments, such as toast, fruit alongside soft drinks and tea and coffee, alongside activities for the children to take part in. We will also deliver life skill-based activities such as confidence building, resilience, and aspirations. Our staff also help parents being able to come together and in its simplest form develop peer-to-peer support. We offer individual and group support, advice, or signposting on topics such as cost-of-living support and emotional wellbeing offers.

The BWDA have recently funded the refurbishment of a double box on the East Stand as one of our projects, which will be used by both the Academy for teaching purposes and the BWITC for their educational settings.

None of this would be possible without the support of our fans and the people of Bolton who subscribe to the Goldline Weekly Draw.
