Bolton Wanderers in the Community Release 2024-25 Impact Report
Bolton wanderers in the Community (BWitC) are pleased to announce the release of our 2024-25 Impact Report.
The conclusion of the charity’s three year strategy, the report highlights the impact of our staff and the stories of our local community. Looking at the impact of all within our group: BWitC as the Football Club Charity and Wanderers Sport in the Community (WSitC) as our CiC, this report shows how as a collective we strive toward providing opportunities to connect people and enable our community to thrive and succeed.
With highlights including £4,372,766.24 being generated in social value across four key areas; Physical health £316,745.35, Mental health £3,537,610.97, Community and Social £83,158.13 and Education and Employability £435,251.81
Highlights from the report:
A total of 1,455 free lunches over the summer period to 221 individuals as part of our Bolton Lunches partnership with Urban Outreach.
Over 1,000 children engaged in anti-discrimination workshops throughout the year.
Feedback from our Premier League Inspires programmes shows a 72.5% improvement in participants’ mental well-being.
90% of men we interact with reported their anxiety has decreased through Team Talk
95% of Extra Time Hub attendees report an improvement in their social wellbeing.
However, whilst reading the report we urge you to look beyond the numbers and remember that each statistic represents a real impact on a member of our community here in Bolton.
On the release of the 2024-25 Impact Report Ben Lawton, CEO of BWitC, said “As we close up our three year strategy, the release of our 2024-25 Impact Report is an opportunity to reflect and celebrate how we have developed as a group. An opportunity to thank our partners, funders, coaches, volunteers, and most importantly, the communities we serve.”
“I urge you to read our report with the knowledge that behind each number is a story of real people whose lives have been transformed. If you’re inspired by what you see in the report, I invite you to continue this journey with us!”
