Cohesion

Bolton Unity Project

Bolton Wanderers in the Community are proud and honoured to be the lead organisation in the Bolton Unity Project; an alliance formed of BWITC, Bolton Solidarity Community Association, Bolton Council of Mosques, Bolton Christian Community Cohesion, Bolton Interfaith Council and Bolton Hindu Forum, funded by the Bolton Fund. Together, we aim to advocate with one voice for many voices to create stronger, more cohesive, and more confident communities in which people feel safe, welcomed and connected.

LGBTQ+ Youth Club

Delivered in partnership with Bolton Council’s Play and Youth Service, this project offers young people aged 13-17 a safe and welcoming place to meet outside of school each week. The Club offers an opportunity for participants to meet other young people from across the borough who have similar experiences to themselves, and we regularly take part in projects and events. We have fantastic partnerships with Greater Manchester Police for community safety and Hate Crime training, as well as The Parallel (NHS) for any adolescent health and wellbeing needs. We focus aims to work with the most disadvantaged young people across the borough, working at the front line to offer support, development, and opportunities to people aged 8 – 25 from a cross-section of the borough and across a number of sessions.
