Huge Success for BWFC Girls FC Women’s Teams
Wanderers Sport in the Community are proud to celebrate the extremely successful season for our BWFC Girls FC Women’s Teams.
The 24-25 season has been a huge success for Women’s Football, headlined by the BWFC Women’s First Team moving under the BWFC badge and securing a magnificent league and cup double to earn promotion to Tier 5 of Women’s football and take their place in the Premier Division of the NWWRL. But the success doesn’t stop there.
Our U14s, U16s, U18s and Women’s Reserves squads delivered outstanding performances throughout the season with a combined total of 8 league table dominations and thrilling cup final wins. The BWFC Girls FC players and coaches have set the bar this season for our female football development centres.
Carl Halliwell, Women’s B Team Head Coach, reflected on the season “With the increasing success of the BWFC Women’s First Team, here at Wanderers Sport in the Community we believe in nurturing the players of the future. Having such a successful season across all our BWFC Girls teams shows the level our teams are playing at.”
“All our players and coaches must be commended for their hard work and commitment throughout the season with the season’s success a testament to this. We look forward to building on the success of this year and are excited to see how our teams develop and grow moving forwards.”
Our BWFC Girls FC teams took to the pitch this season with one goal, to succeed. And the teams did not disappoint:
BWFC Girls FC U14’s secured their spot as North West Super League Champions.
BWFC Girls FC U16’s ended the season with the double as Lancashire County Cup Champions and League Cup Winners.
BWFC Girls FC U18’s took the title of Greater Manchester Womens League Champions, League Cup Winners and Chairman Cup Winners.
BWFC Girls FC Women’s Reserves went on to secure their place as Lancashire Womens County Premier League Champions and secured themselves as League Cup Champions.
