SIGN UP HERE – SAM ALLARDYCE JOINS CPR AND DEFIB TRAINING FOR LOCAL ADULT GRASSROOTS FOOTBALL CLUBS

On Wednesday 19th November, Bolton Wanderers in partnership with Sky Bet and The British Heart Foundation will be hosting a free CPR and defibrillator training workshop for adults involved in playing or running adult grassroots football teams. The workshop is totally free and is designed for anyone no matter what your experience or skill level.

Former coach, player and Bolton Wanderers legend ‘Big Sam’ Allardyce will be joining the training session hosted at the Toughsheet Community Stadium to help raise awareness of the importance of learning potentially lifesaving CPR and defibrillation. This initiative forms part of the English Football League’s (EFL) longstanding relationship with Sky Bet, and everyone who attends the session will be eligible for a free EFL game ticket for this season. All attendees will also be entered into a competition to win a free defibrillator for their club.

Each year over 40,000 people have an out-of-hospital cardiac arrest in the UK. Less than 1 in 10 survive. Giving CPR promptly and using a defibrillator can more than double someone’s chance of survival. As part of the workshop, the British Heart Foundation will take you through its RevivR tool, which gives you the skills and confidence to perform CPR and use a defibrillator.

Applying for a defibrillator for your club
