BWDA Lotteries Partner With BWitC

The club is delighted to be relaunching the Bolton Wanderers Development Association (BWDA) Lotteries in partnership with Bolton Wanderers in the Community.

The BWDA Lotteries have been funding club projects since the 1970s and now, for the first time, 20p from every £1 weekly subscription to the Goldline BWDA Lottery will also go to supporting the club’s official charity, Bolton Wanderers in the Community.

The funds raised will aim to support Bolton Wanderers in the Community in its outreach work across Bolton and the surrounding areas. With a particular focus on health and wellbeing, sport, education and inclusion, the charity touches the lives of over 15,000 people every year.

Phil Mason, Chief Executive Officer of Bolton Wanderers in the Community said: “I am delighted that we are bringing together the BWDA and BWitC and we would like to encourage as many fans as possible to join the weekly draws. This is an opportunity not only to enjoy the many benefits of being a Lotteries subscriber but also to make a difference to our club and community.”

Spearheaded by Nat Lofthouse in the early days, the BWDA was set up in 1978 and since its inception, millions of pounds have been raised to support the development of Bolton Wanderers.

In the past 12 months alone, money raised from the Lifeline and Goldline weekly lottery draws has funded facility upgrades at Lostock Training Ground, paid for new dugout seating and improved the East Stand entrance at the University of Bolton Stadium.

Bolton Wanderers Manager Ian Evatt said, “I am so grateful to all those who have signed up to the BWDA Lotteries. The improvements to facilities at Lostock have made a tangible difference to the players. This is a great example of how the fans can play their part in the journey of transforming this great club ours”.

One of the major 2022/23 projects being supported by the BWDA is the development of the new Fan Zone, which will officially open at the first home game of the season on Saturday 6th August.

The Fan Zone will aim to enhance the fan experience for all Wanderers on a match day and will be utilised on non- match days by the wider community.

Supporters have the option to subscribe to two weekly Lottery draws – Lifeline and Goldline.

Lifeline costs £2 per week and subscribers can win a top prize of £2,000 every week. Goldine is £1 per week to subscribe, with a top prize of £1,000 available.

On a match day, supporters can also purchase Golden Goal tickets for £1 each. If the time on the ticket matches the time of the first goal, it’s a prize of £500 which is rolled over if unclaimed! Golden Goal tickets can be purchased on a match day in the Club Shop, Fan Zone and Lower Concourse.
