A group of 15 staff and supporters of Bolton Wanderers in the Community will be taking part in the Great Manchester Run 10K on Sunday 22nd May. The primary aim is to raise money for the vital work that Bolton Wanderers in the Community carries out across the Town, supporting some of the most vulnerable members of the community.

Runners include both CEO’s of Bolton Wanderers Football Club, Neil Hart and Bolton Wanderers in the Community, Phil Mason. Speaking on the run Phil said –

“I’ll be taking part in the Manchester 10K, and for me that is a real challenge. I have been training ready for the big day and have very sore legs but it will be all worth it in the end. Raising money for the great work that Bolton Wanderers in the community does in the town is vital to both keep the work going a grow and expand the work having seen an increase in needs of so many following the pandemic. Every penny you give will go towards making such a difference in people’s lives.”

BWFC CEO Neil Hart also said –

“Bolton Wanderers in the Community are carrying out vital work in our local area and I’m proud to be raising money on their behalf at the upcoming Great Manchester 10k Run.

“The atmosphere at fundraising challenges such as this iconic run is always brilliant and it’s easy to feel motivated when you’re surrounded by so many inspirational people. I’d encourage anyone who is considering taking part to get signed up and join us for what will be a memorable and special day in the city.”
